Kamish handed you the statue without a word, and got to work.

You wander around and find the canals.

In the distance you can see three tall skyscraper-esque buildings, and recognize it to be the place where the registry stalls are.

((Hard choice.))

Choose one -

Gain a sense of Blue mana, but at a cost.

or

Travel safely, but without gaining a sense of blue mana.

You look over at towards the canals and take a breath of the salty air.

Rippling around the barges and small fishing boats, trailing behind what appears to be an oversized green dolphin you notice blue symbols forming meaningless words across the surface of the water. You gain a sense of blue mana.

Just as the words of in the water shift into clarity and meaning, they scatter as you feel a hand on your shoulder, and a blade dig into your back. "Give me the keyrune." Commands an unfamiliar male voice.

((Hard choice))

Choose one

- You successfully cast the spell, but take a swim.

Or

- The spell is countered, but you have another chance to escape.

Erik quickly used Abuna Chant and quickly tried and pushed him away, sadly he lost his footing as he turned around and fell into the canal, Erik swam down to hide

The dagger of the assassin was repelled off Erik's back, as it shone with golden light.

((5 Damage prevented. 25 Left.))

You fall over the low railing, and spiral down into the water below. A sphere of golden light ignites around you, and you land on the surface of the water softly several stories down.
You look around and you are 20 metres from the nearest pier.

((10 Damage prevented. 15 Left. Roll 4 Action dice +3.5 to tread water.))

As you wade in the water (presumably towards the pier), you notice two things ;
One, the water in this particular waterway is surprisingly warm and steamy, and the smell of brine seems slightly off, artificial perhaps. The second thing you notice is that off to the side, between you and the pier, something seems to be rising from the water. Large sections of bluish ceramic pipes, with several clear glass rings, each section bolted and sealed with reddish metal. You recognize the icon of a dragon embedded in each section of the tube.

As soon as Erik saw it he tried to get closer and get to the station, hoping that there was someone on it that could keep him safe, though he hid the dimir artifact, he would save that for the azorius, he hoped he could happen across the same arrester

Re: Part I of Erik's Story - Dealing and Early Days

Post by Master of Ceremonies on 29/12/15, 02:05 am

As you swim for safety, you become aware of a slight current pulling you, buffeting you forwards. You look down and notice another pipe just beneath the water, and before you can react, you are sucked towards the tube with increasing velocity. The water swirls into a vortex, and in the next moment you are yanked beneath the surface and into the piping.

You rush downwards, crashing against with impacts that would have been quite painful, as the rest of your abunan ward deterioates. You are pulled deep into the pipeworks system, and the air in your lungs is sustained only by the words of the chant until you end up in a large vat in a dimly lit warehouse. Suspended above the vat is a large propeller-like blade attatched to a motor, dangling by chains and wires.

You swim to the surface, gasping for air. You glimpse someone working a machine in the distance

((4 Damage taken. 11 Left.))

Erik let out a yell "Hey! Mind if you help me up?" He yelled in voice as loud as he could muster hoping the figure can hear him and help him out of the vat, he was hopefully out of danger from the assassin, though he won't mention that until he worked out what to do

The goblin stopped tinkering with his giant incendiary mechanism. He climbed along ropes and chains until he dangled above Erik's vat. "Ah! Another little fishie got caught in my net." He cackled.
